What's a good car for 3 kids?

So my wife and I just found out were going to be parents again. We got to thinking we both have really small cars (hers a 2002 Honda Civic and I a 2008 Dodge Caliber) and wondered where we'd put a third child. Our oldest daughter is 7 and youngest is 3 and both need car seats. Besides a minivan which we both dread what's a good option for 3 kids? I was thinking Ford Fusion or Honda Accord something wide enough to hold 3 car seats in a row.

It would help if you provided a budget. Think about Toyota Venza (It's like a Camry Wagon), Accord, Accord Crosstour, Mazda CX 9, any mid-sized SUV.
If you need to go cheap, Scion xB, Kia Rondo, or the dreaded mini van. Lord knows there's enough of them around, and some of them are really nice.

Get an old cop car Ford Crown Vic they can seat five safe and last forever.

Minimum a car-van, those are same like a sedan but only their boot is made higher and with windows, same like a van but with less height, in the boot of a car-van there's more room than in the boot of a sedan, for childrens things. Better woud be a van, because a van has more room in it for all the things children need and a second backseat, a carvan or suv has only one backseat an that soon will be to narrow for 3 children as a new baby grows fast.

better is to buy an old van or at least a car-van, because when children are little, they jump on the seats and can't always mind to not drop their drink on the seats or hit the door somewhere, now a car van has sliding doors, those can cardly hit anywhere and if its old, it won't matter when children jump it.

first vehicle that came to my mind is a dodge ram, thats a van. Once i was chatting on the net with someone, they said to me the dodge ram is durable but kids broke the other vans. I think that is the vehicle to go with or a volkswagen van, a T4. A domestic made van or at least car-van will be better, because the service for it will be more imediate and parts can be found easier than parts for an exotic car. For an american a dodge ram, or a chrysler voyager etc., for a european a volkswagen T4 (van).

A mid-sized SUV would be a better solution that a sedan, especially as the kids get older -- and bigger. Look at the Honda Pilot or Toyota Highlander.

Any mid size crossover or a full size sedan.

Get a lincoln town car. It can hold 3 car seats and a walmart run plus a trip to the grocery store. 239 horsepower and 287 horsepower. No repairs, reliable as hell, has the tried and true 4.6 that will last until at least the youngest starts driving.

My Volvo XC90 would be perfect!

It has a built in child seat in the middle that will definitely work for th3 7 year old, and possibly the 3 year old (depending on size). Two extra kiddie traps on either side will be a snap!

You could also utilize the 3rd row for the oldest. Would give them a sense of privacy.

I have good news and bad news.

The car that I drive, a Kia Rondo, is perfect for your needs. Not only is it very commodious inside, but it handles great, and gets excellent mileage. The current new model has been redesigned in 2013, but either the new or old one would do very well for your needs. Plus, some have a third row, which would be very useful for kid car seats

The bad news is that the Rondo did not sell well new in the US, and so is off that market. But, used ones should be findable, and likely for very good prices.

And, you could also come up to Canada to buy one, as the US $ is very strong right now, returning about $1.30 Cdn to the US $.
