2010 ford fusion is vibrating really bad. Has 70,900 miles on it?
Okay so here is the problem. My car is vibrating really bad when in idle and is in drive. If i put it into neutral its not that bad, if the ac/heater is off it still vibrates just not as bad. When I go to take off from a red light its vibrating really bad. Again if the ac/heater is off its not as bad but still very noticeable. You can tell when you go from neutral to drive even in revers you can tell the difference in all gears its vibrating and we looked at the motor mounts and they looked perfect. After you get in about 3rd gear its not vibrating at all. When taking off if it jumps to 3000 rpms its starts to vibrate if i start off slow and slowly start to move up in rpms it doesn't vibrate. Thats all i can think of right now if i think of anything else ill add more on to it
Think all you want and it's not going to make a difference. You need to go to the dealer and have the read the engine data with their factory scan tool. That way they will know if all the sensors are in spec. You might even have a vacuum leak. Intake manifolds often have vacuum leaks and will cause the motor to run rough like that.
My car has been in the shop multiple times and they have no idea what is wrong with it. One of them even told me it was because it needed an alignment done on it. The geniuses couldn't even fix what i told them needed fixed, the ac had a leak in it. And they couldnt even tell that. So you tell me why i don't trust the wonderful people at the dealership. And thank you but i had my dad look at the motor mounts for me, he is a diesel mechanic, but thanks for the advice
Since you checked the motor mounts, next step is a good general tune-up - validating the coils, spark plugs and timing, compression, are all set and working properly.
- Do some people really care that much about driving a really nice car? My dad is perfectly okay with his 1992 Ford Taurus with 210,000 miles on it, no heat (he lives in Chicago btw), no A/C, and a f::::ked up passenger side door. He's not poor by any means, he's a CFO of a bank. He just says that driving that P. Builds character and he only cares about having a car that can take him from point A to point B.
- 2000 ford taurus, is really hard to start, when it does start it idles really rough? 2000 ford taurus, is really hard to start, when it does start it idles really rough until completely warm, we replaced 4 coils and at first it helped but has returned just as bad.
- Would you buy a 2010 Ford Fusion with 92k miles? I'm not a car person but I love the body style on the 2010 ford fusion. I also want a hybrid. I found one at the a good price but a lot of friends are saying it would not be a good idea buy a american car (ford) and a hybrid with that many miles. Any advice from people who know about cars?
