2006 ford fusion SE acceleration problems?

My 06' ford fusion has had a problem of a very slow take off even when the pedal is all the way down, for a while I didn't do anything about it because it gradually increases in speed eventually but lately its has felt like its been getting worse

I have this issue due to the extreme heat, its only a skin burning 115 degrees, every year though I loose a lot of my performance because cars don't run good in the extreme heat/cold

Is your oil level okay? Check your air filter!

Hi Yes it's called WEAR sunshine an engine can only give so much before it starts to slow down and get old a new engine or having it serviced will be the only two ways this will improve.

  • Shifting problems and intake problems? I drive a 1997 ford ranger with a 2.3l automatic. I have recently experienced a hard shifting in my truck even when I'm not on the gas it has problems shifting. And I cleaned my air filter and filter hose that goes to my throttle body and there was transmission fluid in the hose. What can be causing this and how can I fix it or how much will it cost roughly?
  • Should I get a 2006 Ford F-150 XLT or 2006 Chevy Silverado Z71? Which truck would be better… I need a tough truck to haul around kids (both are 4-door), a little off-road driving around the farm and fishing, pulling a 4k to 5k trailer. Which engine is better, Fords 5.4L or Chevys 5.3L? Is one transmission better than the other? Which will give me the least or most problems? All pros and cons appreciated, thank you!
  • 2006 Ford Freestar or 2006 Honda Odyssey? I'm about to purchase a used vehicle.Im trying to get either an odyssey or a freestar. I'm thinking the odyssey is more but thats not an issue. I'm just looking for room and something that can handle long highway miles. Any suggestions
