Where to go for a 2004 Ford Focus Trunk Latch Deck Lid Lock w/ Emergency Release OEM?
I need a 2004 Ford Focus Trunk Latch Deck Lid Lock w/ Emergency Release OEM. Or here is the deal. I have a 2004 Ford Focus. I need the trunk latch since mine is broken.
What route would you suggest to getting a new one.
If you have bought your own car parts before, where do you go to get them?
If the usual parts stores - autozone, oriellys, napa, etc - don't have that part, then try online catalogs like rockauto, parts train, etc
Think that will be a junk yard part.
You can check Ford's website. If you don't care about it being new, you can call your local junk yard and they can tell you if they have one in stock. And autozone sells paints and you can look yours up by model and find the right matching manufacturer's paint so the trunk matches if you care at all. You can also call a local mechanic and ask him where you might order it from. This would probably be faster and less stressful then a website.
- Where is the trunk safety release on a Ford Tempo? Mine doesn't have the release buttons in the glovebox and when I bought it the trunk wouldn't open. I got the back seat out but there's so much garbage and so little room I'm trying not to sift through all of it to find the safety release, does anyone know exactly where it's located?
- What would cause the door locks and the trunk release to both stop working? 2002 Ford Crown Vic The other day the alarm suddenly went off, the door locks were going up and down and the trunk opened. I finally disconnected the battery for a while. After that everything was fine, except the door lock and trunk release mechanisms won't work. I have tried replacing several fuses and a circuit breaker (20 amp, CB) but they still won't work. Any ideas?
- Cost of deck installation for ford Taurus 04? I have ford Taurus 2004 and I have the standard steered system in it. I hear it's a pain to install it in this car so how much will it be to get it installed professionally with the new parts and everything besides the deck itself?
- Does the trunk release button on your Ford Focus SE hatchback 2014 actually open the trunk? For my car, the button on the key fob where you double press to open the trunk unlatches the trunk, but doesn't actually cause it to open/lift up. I'm wondering if that is the same for everyone else tha has this car.
