My ford focus 2008 misfires and hestates at take off?
Just bought the vehicle driven for 100k miles and I discovered the evap system is disconnected from the fuel tank. Also I have cleaned the maf sensor several times including the injectors and replaced the spark plugs but no Improvement. I'm considering changing the maf sensor but one other thing that worries me is the check engine light does not lit even when I drove for some miles with the maf sensor disconnected. But the vehicle smoke is clear, not black though. I will appreciate any useful tip that can get my car out this condition God bless
Does the check engine light come on during pre-start check (ignition on)? Could be a burned out light or removed.
Check the coil pack - I had an older focus and somewhere in the 100k range the coil pack needed to be replaced - I could see cracks in the housing - (amazon for <$25 was good enough and $60 cheaper than a fomoco coil pack).
With the EVAP system disconnected and no engine light on I would suspect the MAF sensor is being doped somehow. Check the voltage going to the MAF I think you'll find there isn't any. Follow the wires back.
- Why would you think my 2008 Ford H 53 chassis Motor home engine randomly cut off and the ABS light come on? Ford Triton V10 when heading up a hill sometimes the engine will cut out and the ABS light on the dash comes on and goes out. The engine continues to run and we get home just fine. Seems like power is getting cut off or something.
- Would a ford focus 2012 with 80k miles last a long time given that i treat it right and only take it within the city from and to work? As long as the car would last me 5 years minimum but i don't know jack about cars so if i could have an expert give me a diagnosis i would gladly appreciate it
- Owner of 2003 ford focus, car keeps needing a jump. Last time I did when the cables came off the car shut off? The car lasted a couple of days the last time I jumped it. I believe It's just my battery but how would I know it has anything to do with my accelerator as well?
- Help Letters coming off of 2008 Ford Focus? I have a 2008 Ford Focus and the word "Focus" is coming off. Where can I get letters to replace it? Preferably in the same font as the old letters. (I only need two replaces)
