My car is leaking antifreeze! What's the problem?

I have a 2005 Ford Focus zx4. I just bought the car a few months ago with 83000 miles on it it good condition the only other problem it has is that the motor mount needs to be fixed (Small repair). It was driven on the 18th of this month and about a day or two later antifreeze began to leak from the car. I cleaned it up and the next morning there was a puddle the same size and it has continued to leak since. Its coming from the bottom near the middle/front of the car. Does anyone know/can guess what the problem is and give me a rough guess of how much it'll be to fix it or how I can fix it?

You have a bad radiator hose. Replace the hose.

Get the cooling system pressure tested to find the source of the leak. It could be any number of things ranging from a corroded freeze plug, to a bad water pump, to a cracked block.

Best make sure it not just hose it could be leaking from sum place else like water pump or a cylinder head or heater hose

Could be a coolant hose, heater hose, water pump or the radiator itself. Only way to find out for sure if it is not visibly obvious is to have your cooling system pressured checked.

That's where the radiator is, it could have a leak. The hoses could leak, the water pump could be leaking at 83K. Since surface tension makes fluids hang onto parts as it is forced by gravity to the earth, the coolant can travel and finally drip where gravity wins the battle.
You need the diagnostic test performed and sit and watch for the drip, then trace it back to it's source.
Go out there when its cold but full and grab the upper hose with 2 hands and squish it. Your leak may show right up and make a noise. Soon the traces of leaking coolant will be easier to trace from residue and evaporation.
A broken motor mount on some vehicle, depending on the engine's movement, can pull on the attached hoses, this stresses the hoses but tests the strength of the clamps at the connections as well.

You'll need to have it pressure tested and inspected by a qualified technician to have a guaranteed diagnoses

  • Water instead of antifreeze? Ford, gt500? My radiator has cracked and it spits out all the antifreeze. Don't have money to buy radiator at this moment so an I fine just putting water in it for a while. When I was refilling with antifreeze it would be empty within two days. Is it ok to just keep refilling it with water?
  • Car acceleration problem and idle problem. The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus? . When the car is running and in parked its making a loud consisted rev noise. However the rpm needle thingy is not moving. when i'm in drive the car acclerates on its own with the speed ever increasing. i did some googling and learned that it can be the TPS sensor or the idle air intake valve, among a million other possiblities.
  • Old car, new radiator, red or blue antifreeze? I have 2L Ford pinto engined car, i will replace radiator and lower-upper hoses. so, should i use blue antifreeze or red (organic). my engine is old but radiator will be new, Red cause leak? Shell branded antifreezes are good?
  • I smell antifreeze? Causes? I drive a 1992 ford with 108,000 miles. I recently had everything in the cooling system replaced (radiator, all hoses and lines, thermostat & gasket) I drive about 140 miles a day and my truck is starting to smell like antifreeze coming from the ac, I take perfect care of my truck, engine has been steam cleaned it's spotless, and I do not see an obvious leak? And all the stuff was changed about 3 weeks ago
