Made an appt for recall on car, in March. Is this normal?

I just got a car. Did the usual play around with the bells and whistles, looked at the online site, blah blah blah. I found that there's two recalls on my car, that were issued in August. So I waited till Monday, called the dealership and they made my appt… For three months from then. Their reason? So the parts would be in (I live in Hawaii). I asked if they could move earlier, and they said "that date looks nice and comfortable for my car" (their words nearly exactly).
Now, I got the Ford focus. I know my year had transmission issues. I have a very mild shudder on some starts, but that s it. The recall addresses this, and I told the lady that I felt like my car had at least one of the uses they re fixing. Is it normal to make me wait 3 months? What happens if something happens in those three months?

It may get shipped in early, but they are just saying 3 months because it actually may take that long to have the part available.

If the recalled part in question breaks and you take it somewhere else to have it repaired, you can be reimburse for the repairs. Just file for it with Ford with the receipt of the cost of repair.

Power to the people.

No the dealer sounds useless. I would expect parts within 24 hours from a parts distribution service.
They are telling you that Ford can't get the parts for your car quickly,

  • Why did some normal car models have so few made? I'm talking about like a normal car that would be sold to citizens. Like a ford or something. Where it's rare to see the car just because it didn't have that much models of it made?
  • Is it normal for a car to shake? I have an old 1978 Ford ranchero and every time I turn on my car it shakes a lot but it stops after I push the gas pedal a little and only does this in park why does this happen is this normal for a classic car
  • Car vents suddenly blowing no air after airbag recall? I picked up my 2012 Ford Fusion from an airbag recall fix this morning and now suddenly my vents are not blowing any air! I'm taking it back to the dealership this afternoon, but I'm worried they will tell me if has nothing to do with the work they did. But I know for a fact they were working when I dropped my car off. And when I picked it up, I tried turning my heat on right away… Nothing. I tried turning it to AC. Nothing. How could this have happened with an airbag recall?
  • Is this a recall for my car? I have a 2014 Ford Focus. Sometimes I randomly check my account for my warranty coverage and plan for upcoming routine maintenance work. I had a "field service action" notification for Transmission Control Module programing for overt TCM failure warning. If anyone is familiar with this car what's that? So far I have about 9 thousand miles on this car and haven't had any transmission problems
