Is there any way at all to import a MK 2 Ford Focus RS into the US from Europe? How Much?

I know the MK 3 Focus is coming to the US very soon, but I honestly hate the looks of the car, to me it looks like a wannabe ST, which I hate the looks of to begin with. However, the MK 2 Focus RS looks absolutely incredible, and one of my favorite hatchbacks of all time besides the Escort RS Cosworth. My question is, is there any way at all to get one legally imported permanently to the US as a daily driver? And if so, how much would it cost me? Have a feeling it'd be expensive as hell, but it'd be worth it for this hatchback.

Hi so why would an american want a small engine car. Not as bigger engine as in a home market car. Ford of america the parent company would not allow it it either.

You won't be able to legally import it. The Mk II RS was never sold in the US so it never underwent crash testing or emissions testing in the US If you want to legally import it, you'll have to wait until it's 25 years old.

Not unless you want to spend the equivalent of the cost of the 2016 RS just to get it into the country and get it to where it will pass US safety and emission requirements
