Cloth vs Leather? Which is best car seat for you?

Leather is luxurious, easier clean, durable, soft, comfort, and plus easier maintain and repair, used on luxury/mid-price cars like BMW, Mercedes, Infiniti, Lexus and Audi (Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry, Volkswagen Jetta leather seats are options) or something like that.

Inexpensive cars such as Toyota Corolla, Nissan Versa, Toyota Yaris, Mitsubishi Mirage and Ford Focus that you will stuck with cloth even if you pick higher options unless custom the interior that will help.

Cloth is inexpensive and much useless, gets easily stain and harder to clean, flammable and breakable.

Well, leather does attract more heat to it and, it also shrinks in sunlight. While cloth doesn't really attract too much sunlight and it does not shrink in sunlight, but your seat still will be hot but just not as hot as a seat with leather.

Leather is cold in the winter until the heated seats work and burning hot in the summer. That is the reason a specced fabric seats this time in my car.

I prefer cloth. Leather is hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

If you have kids (or plan to), get cloth seats. Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death in the United States and it can be difficult to install child seats correctly on leather seats as they often slide around. A car seat needs to move less than 1 inch side to side and front to back. If it moves more than 1 inch, it is an incorrect and unsafe installation. It is so much easier to place one knee in the child seat while compressing the vehicle seat cushion of a cloth seat. I can get a rock the car solid installation on cloth seats, but on my cousin's leather seats, it is impossible or requires wrestling the car seat in the vehicle. I bought her a car seat and had to have it returned because it didn't fit right. Many people are also concerned about poking holes in the leather seats. It is also unsafe to use mats or place things under child seats because these items can conceal a poor installation.

If you don't plan on having kids, then this obviously does not apply to you. Many of my cousins prefers leather and that is their preference.

Your preference is clear. I prefer cloth. I find is more comfortable, easier to clean, and less susceptible to damage. In other words, you perceptions what makes leather superior are exactly that, YOUR perceptions. They are NOT objective facts.

I prefer leather, more durable, easier to clean, but gets hot in summer but is ok at least turn on ac.

I prefer leather.
