Cars similar to Volvo s40?

I know they no longer sell sell them in the US. My 2004 decided 300 thousand miles was enough so it died. I would like to buy a premium compact car like Volvo but everything is too big. I mean I can drive bigger but I don't need the room my kids are old so roomy backseat is not necessary. A friend of mine suggested a Ford Focus Titanium which had everything and more than my old Volvo. Is that a good choice? Or is there a better option?

Yes. The Ford Focus is a good choice. However, you might want to take a look at vehicles such as the Mazda 3 - and for a touch of luxury - the Buick Verano. The Subaru Impreza might be worth consideration as well.

Lexus ES

The Ford Focus is a great choice, but if you want a bit more flair, perhaps an Accord coupe?

  • Volvo C30 Vs Ford Focus as first car? It's either a pre owned 2013 Volvo C30 or a new Ford Focus. I like the volvos look but I can get a new focus for similar money. Should I get the focus and pay the large bit of the depreciation? Or the used volvo which has already had that loss taken off?
