Can you use flex seal to fix a transmission line leak?
My 1996 ford Taurus transmission is spraying out really bad and was looking for a quick part time seal till i can replace the hose.
That stuff is a rip off and false advertising. People that have tested it found it to only work on aluminum gutters. They don't tell you it takes 24 hours to cure. And even then, it would not even fix a garden hose.
So no, it will not do anything for a leaking transmission fluid line.

- My 2000 Ford Windstar has a coolant leak. What could be causing it to leak? It has two leaks. One is from the passenger side near the front tire and the second is right below the driver's seat. I have to replace the coolant after I have had the heater on for a bit. I never have it on for more than 15 min. Not because the coolant runs out in that time but I just don't use it for long. I took it to the mechanic and he stated it was the "lower intake manifold gasket". I'm asking if anyone has any other ideas because that repair is pretty pricey.

- When changing the power steering pump on a KA (54) can you use PTFE tape to seal the pressure line from pump? I have changed the power steering pump on a ford KA (54) and when removing the pressure line from the pump there was some kind of seal on it but I don't know what it was, so I was hopping that PTFE tape would do the same job at sealing the thread. Any help please. Andy.
