Why does the alarm on my 2011 Ford Fiesta keep going off?

I just bought a used 2011 Ford Fiesta. I'm used to regular keys and keyfobs for the locks, but this has keyless entry/ignition.

I just got this car home and locked it before going into my house, and 3 times now I've heard the alarm go off, and when I go out to see what's going on the lights are still flashing and the alarm is getting quieter (if not totally silent) (and the lights are still flashing).

I've been hitting the unlock/lock buttons on my keyfob to make it stop but I still don't know why the alarms are going off in the first place.

Open the car, start it. Roll down a window. Open and close all the doors. Open a close the hood and trunk (boot and bonnet). Remove any thing hanging from the mirror, or any other moving things in car. Roll up window.
Turn off the car and try it again.
If does not stop, drive car to auto shop and get battery tested. Inspect the connections for any loose or corrosion.
Inspect hood latch and door close plungers.

  • Why does my keyless remote entry/alarm reset itself? I have a 2002 ford mustang. I have to program the remote to the cars factory alarm system every time. It will only stay programmed for an hour or less. It is not the remote because I've tested it on another ford vehicle and the battery is still good. Also the theft light sometimes stays on and sometimes it will blink.
  • Ford focus lights and alarm chime keep twitching, what could be the problem? Took to O Reilys to get checked becuse all of the gauges weren t working, all at 0 --null reports say it's needs a reset on the computer, ok done. Now the lights and alarm chime twitch repeatedly! Help please. P.s By alarm chime I mean that noise that comes for leaving the keys, opening the door etc.

I have a 2004 ford explorer Whenever i turned off the engine the radio would go off aswell, but 2 days ago, When ever i shut off the engine, the radio stays on, until i open my door. After driving it for months why did it suddenly change?
  • 2011 Ford Explorer xlt blowers keep cutting in and out? I have a 2011 Ford Explorer xlt and the AC work on it but the blower keep cutting in and out no matter what setting I have the blowers on it I replaced the resistor could it be the motor?
