No, it should not be necessary to have to mess with the cam belt, just the drive belts.

Yes, I just looked, your Water Pump is driven by the Timing Belt. The best thing is to get the kit with the Belt, Pump and Idler and Tensioner Pulleys. Then you can drive for years without worrying about it.

  • Do i need a pulley puller to remove my water pump pulley? I have a 1996 ford ranger v6 4.0 liter and i was wondering if i need a pulley puller to remove it and/or what other tools will i be needing. It doesn't seem too hard and it's right there so i think i'm capable. I replaced the serpentine belt but now i need to replace both. Also if anyone would be able to give me a link to a video or kind of give me the gist of replacing the pulley.
  • When changing the power steering pump on a KA (54) can you use PTFE tape to seal the pressure line from pump? I have changed the power steering pump on a ford KA (54) and when removing the pressure line from the pump there was some kind of seal on it but I don't know what it was, so I was hopping that PTFE tape would do the same job at sealing the thread. Any help please. Andy.
  • When does my cambelt need changing? I have a ford fiesta 1.8 tddi on a 2002 reg with 55000 miles when do I need to get my cambelt changed?
  • Is there a second/back up way to open bonnet on Ford Fiesta Ghia? The lever in front left foot well area to pop the bonnet isn't working The point at which it usually clicks and opens the bonnet isn't happening; the lever is going beyond that point without popping the hood. It worked fine earlier and I keep trying but it isn't working now. Its like it isn't lined up properly anymore. I need to top up my oil but can't get it open and am going on a long journey tomorrow. Any suggestions or another way to pop the hood?
