Suggestions on getting my 2000 ford f150 to start?

Today I was driving my truck and I parked it at my school and went inside. I came out about 10 minutes later and it wouldn t start. It cranks but doesn't start. It sounds like it isn't getting fuel. Any suggestions on what I should try? It's a 2000 5.4 liter v8 ford f150

Get a new fuel filter & see if that cures your problem

There could be a lot of things that would cause the it won't start. Check all electric lines coming off your starter for one. Sometimes a lose wire could be the problem.

Open the gas cap, have an assistant put the key to ON (do not start) and listen for a hum or whine. If you do not hear anything, check fuel pump relay and check if fuel pump is getting power and ground at the connector.
Remove spark plug and check for spark.
