Need some vehicle advice please?
So I bought a 95 ford f150 a while back and now have an offer to trade it for a 94 dodge 2500 single cab they have the same amount of miles "215000" mine is a automatic the other is a standard 5 speed… The ford has the 5.8 v8 the dodge has the 5.9 v8. I was wondering if there are anything I need to look for on the dodge like if dodge has certain bad transmissions i need to look for or anything like that… Also I would like to put a cummins in it and would like a estimate on how much it would cost to swap the engines… Is it even worth it? The dodge looks nicer then my ford but the ford runs great. Not sure about how the dodge runs yet but will know soon. Any recommendations or help would be greatly appreciated
Trading one POS for another POS is NOT the way to get ahead. The D 2500 will get worse fuel mileage and will probably cost more to maintain. Trying to Install a Cummins diesel will cost more than BOTH trucks are worth.
DON't DO IT
Better to find another wagon. The 5.9/360 is just another boat anchor. Hard on gas, with little more power than a 5.2/318. Both old and with much mileage. Great way to clean out your wallet.
- What are some uk wide car dealers that are good please? E.g. Ford (or other brands) used cars, arnold clark etc. Jct600 and dews are local examples for me, but some nationwide examples please, like arnold clark, that are good. Don't want websites where anyone can sell used cars, thanks.
- What are some good things to do to my 2007 Ford V6 Mustang to get some more power and performance? I want to get more power and better performance out of my V6 and no I don't want to trade up for a V8. I inherited this car and its paid off and only has 11,000 miles on it. Not to mention sentimental value so please leave your hate for V6s for someone else. I just want to know some cost effective ways to get more out of my stang. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
- I need a little advice in buying a new car? I have a great steady job and I can afford to buy a car from the dealership. It is the first time I ever go to a dealership for a car. I'm just wondering if there's any good reliable brands you can recommend to look out for? How is Ford, in your opinion? Also, what are the next steps one takes after buying a new car? Tags, plates, and insurance right?
- Please advice- Ford Fusion OR Fiesta? Am planning to buy a new car. I have a dilemma between the Ford Fusion & Fiesta. Please give the Advantages & Disadvantages of both the car, so that I can be in a better position to buy my new car.
