I pressure wash the engine on a ford f150 2004 and now my gas pedal does not want to respond?
I notice the check engine and a wrench came out on my gauges
Something you should never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever do, is pressure wash your engine. Now you'll have to remove all the coil packs and painstakingly blow dry out all the plug wells and dry off all the coil packs and boots with paper towels, methyl hydrate and air. If you have an electronic drive by wire throttle you may have to throw that away and get a new one. Oh, did I say: never, ever, ever, ever pressure wash your engine?

Hi so water has entered somewhere it should not be. Time to get it to a mechanic.
- I took my car throughout car wash and water filled up the left headlight and blew the bulbs! What caused this? My car is a 2006 Ford Freestyle and I've had it for a few years now. Do I have to take off the whole assembly or can I just take the headlight out and fix it?
- Let the master cylinder run dry and now the brake pedal goes to the floor when I turn the car on. Is air still in the system? I pulled the car out of storage and i noteced the left front caliper was leaking so I replaced the caliper. The only problem was the master cylinder ran dry. I bleed the brakes three times. I did not see any air in the lines after I bleed them a third time. When the car is off the brake pedal gets rock hard when the pedal ia depressed about half way. With the car on the brake pedal goes to the floor. Would this be cause by air in the system? The car is a 03 ford focus.
- Is it safe to pressure wash engine? This guy, who actually seems to know alot about cars. Says its ok to pressure wash, that the engine breaths alot better with out all that gunk… But i started doing it and it just sounded like it did not like it, (belt stopping/squeaking)-from getting wet obviously… So i stopped, he said just deal with the horrible noise cause in the end its worth it… He says older vehicles you shouldnt but newer vehicles are sealed very well.
