Part of the computer system. Dealer might be able to help. But then again if it gets stolen what's the insurance company going to say
Ford's PAT's system is really hard to get around. It will be far, far cheaper to have new keys coded, if that's your problem.
If you disable it, you also disable the core computer causing the truck to no longer function. It really isn't a good option to attempt. Live with the "problems" that it poses. Virtually all cars/trucks made since 2000 have these "issues".
- How to reset factory anti theft? I drove my 2000 ford ranger, parked it and did some errands. I came back put the key in and tried to start it. The theft light on dash blinking real fast. Truck has power but won't turn over. I turn the key and nothing. How do i reset the anti theft?
- 2014 Ford Mustang won't start. I tried syncing my phone to the car, and then the anti theft icon started blinking rapidly All electronics down, the panel won't light up, window won't roll up. Every time I try to start it, I hear a clicking sound above the passengers foot rest.
- Ford anti theft system comes on when driving? Ford. Passive anti theft system comes on when driving for a second and shuts car off then car comes back on. The pats light flash's while this happens. Car has a chip ignition key any ideas?
- I would like to know if 04-08 Ford F-150 rear suspension parts would fit on my 1998 Ford F-150? I'm building a prerunner and have already received a long travel kit for the front of my 1998 Ford F-150, but I'm having trouble finding rear suspension parts for it. Honestly I'm perfectly fine with just a pair of Fox 2.5 Factory piggybacks, but I can only find some for the 04-08 Ford F-150 and I just wanted to know if they would bolt onto my 1998 Ford F-150.
