Ford f150 truck 2002 keys locked inside?

My mom left the keys inside the truck and the lock is like a push up and push down to open like you have to push it up to open how is that possible to open we're tried a wire hanger to get the keys out of the little thing where you put your keys to turn on the truck. We don't want to call locksmith because my dad said they will charge like 50+ and we don't want to spend that right now it's day time but we need to open it now because if it gets dark someone will see the keys and break our window and steal the car!

Have you tried using the coat hanger to pull on the lock lever in the door? Just pull back on the weatherstripping on the window near the lock, catch the lock and pull up and it should unlock it. I can't remember how far down it is but is near the door handle area.

Call your insurance company and see if they offer free tow truck assistance. I get three calls every six months. It'll take the driver less than a minute to pop it open. They have special tools.

You will have to call a locksmith if you can't reach them. But first, did you consider intertwining two coat hangers for more support? Just be patient and keep trying. But it sounds like you will end up having to call a locksmith if you don't want to smash the window( which is a really bad idea).

Know anyone with a triple A membership? They can call and have triple A come down and open it for you. The thing is the person who actually owns the truck and the person who has the membership must be at the truck when they show up
