Clunk noise in Ford F-150?
I have a 2001 Ford F-150 xlt 2wd with a 4.2l engine and a manual transmission, 150, XXX miles on it. Recently like a 2 months ago it started making a clunk/knock noise when ever I accelerate from stop to go. It just got worse over time and now it sounds fairly louder. I did the slip yolk greasing but that didn't help, maybe I applied too little grease? Anyways any idea on what it could be?
Check your driveshaft and you joints
Motor mounts do this… And being a 2001 its overdue for a mount or several.
- Loud clunk/bang when I turn right at the same times as going over a bump? When I turn right at the same time as going over a bump I get a very loud clunk… I have changed the drop links and wishbones, yet the problem persists. Its a 2006 Ford StreetKa Any suggestions appreciated.
- I have a 2000 Ford Windstar that won't start. When I turn the key all I hear is a clunk noise? Battery good, starter good, cables good, fuel system good. No indication before hand that anything was going bad. One morning just went to start and NOTHING.
- Noise works, but when I push it, it also makes a clicking/rattling noise? I have a 2012 Ford Focus, and while the horn works, and sounds (as it normally does), when I press it, it also makes a weird clicking/rattling noise (also kinda like a jingle sound - hard to describe). It sounds as if it's coming from behind the center console/under the center console, but it's hard to tell. Any ideas what it could be? With any answers - any advice on how to fix it? Question should say HORN Works
- Will a leveling kit made for a 2009 F-150 fit on a 2008 F-150? I'm trying to buy a leveling kit off of a friend but he has a 2009 F-150. I have a 2008 Limited F-150.Was curious to know if Ford still kept the same spring and shock design from 2008/2009.
