Will p265/70r 17 tires fit my 2008 ford explorer?
Check with the tire retailer you plan on buying rims and tires from.
Thankfully, no. They're Way too large.
They can fit if you have 17" rims
A bit too tall and definitely too wide. Ford determined 245/65-17 sized tires would be best in a 17 inch tire and rim combo on your Explorer.
- Can 225/70R16 tires fit on rims that have 225/70r14 tires on them? I have 225/70r14 tires on my Ford ranger. I just got some 225/70r16 tires of the same brand, Cooper, given to me. Will they fit on the 225/70r14 rims or do I need to get rims to fit the 225/70r16.
- Will a set of 235/60-R17 tires fit a vehicle with 225/50-R17 tires currently? If they do I'm assuming there would be a MPH difference on the speedometer. Update: The 60 series set is from a 2014 Ford Focus and are stud-less winter tires. They are to go on a 2012 Ford Fusion.
- Is it better to ride on 32 inch tires or 33 inch tires on a 2010 f150? As of right now I have 33 inch tires on my 2010 ford f150 supercrew cab truck. It has a 2 inch leveling kit. The previous owner put 33s on it. When I make sharp turns I feel maybe the tire size is maybe too big? It's always making a grinding noise
- Will rims designed to fit 235 tires fit 255 tires? I soon need some new tires for my 2001 Ford Explorer, the current tires are 255/70R16 and I don't plan to change the size when i get new ones. I would like to get new rims with them. I found some that say they fit my car, but it says the rec. Tire size is for 235/70R16. I'm assuming/hoping the rims will still fit but I just want to make sure before I purchase them with the new tires.
