I was fixing my rear drum brakes on my 1992 ford explorer. Disaster ensues?

Added (1). My rear differential was open and I let out the fluids to take out my rear right axle. Now after the axle was released I left it be, however my little cousin came out and started spinning the tire, and before I could stop him the spider gears clanked out of my differential and onto the floor. How do they go back together? I looked on the web and can't seem to find any instructions or step-by-step guides on the gears of a rear differential. 1992 ford explorer 5.5 L XLT with a 8.8 Rear Differentia

If you were doing a brake job why did you remove a axle? You are going to need to find a buddy that can put it all back together for you. Since you have it tore apart replace all the bearings and seals.

Here's a link related to the traction loc differential…

  • Rear drum replacement on a ford focus 2001? So my ford focus 2001 zx3 2.0 DOHC started to have some wobbling noise coming from the rear left side, which seems to be a bad wheel bearing. Since replacing just the bearing its a pain in the ***, I was going to get the drum with the bearing already pressed. When replacing a rear drum, do I have to put a new Centric Spindle Nut/Disc or use the old one? What about the spindle stub shaft? I would really appreciate your help
