2001 Ford Explorer not starting, weird clicking noise coming from a black box above gas pedal?
Have a 2001 Ford Explorer that won't start. When I turn the key nothing at all lights up. It is completely dead. It will stay started if I boost it, but will be completely dead as soon as I turn it off again. We just replaced the battery and alternator. Also, when the truck is off (not sure about running) there's a fluttery clicking noise every few seconds coming from a black box (or it seems to coming from it) right above the gas pedal. Any help would be appreciated
Added (1). Ok. So I took out a part that has F57B-14B192 AA from the black box by the pedals and the licking stopped… Any ideas?
It sounds like you may have a bad battery. I'd take it out and have it tested. Just because it's new doesn't mean it's good. If you're near Beaumont, TX leave a comment.
Check the fuel pump relay and main relay
Starter-motor solenoid may have weak power source.
- Will a 2000 Ford Windstar lx fuse box diagram be the same as a 2003 Ford Windstar fuse box? I found a link about a 2003 but I need to know if it'll be the same for a 2000. If it ain't can anyone help me out with a link showing information like this but about a 2000 model? Thanks. http://www.fixya.com/cars/t11808484-2003_ford_windstar_fuse_box_diagram
- 2001 Ford Ranger clicks once then won't turn over, and when key is turned off, it begins making a clicking relay noise under the dash? - 1 I've had this happen before, and the last couple times I just undid the battery and put it back in and it started right up. The battery has a charge, the alternator is new, and I tried jumping the battery just in case. So I know it's not that. I'm thinking it could be something in the ignition switch because sometimes I have to lift up on the shifter knob for it to register that it's in park and turn over. Any ideas?
- Weird noise coming from bottom of my car? Ok so i own a 2002 Ford Mustang GT, and there has been this weird, weird rattling noise coming from beneath my car. I'm running an SLP loudmouth aftermarket exhaust and i'm wondering if thats the issue. I'm no mechanic, so i wanna know what i'm gonna be dealing with before i go see for myself. I'm 16 years old as well, I'm also running a bbk offroad x pipe and stock headers(its pretty loud), so i'm wondering if that may be part of the problem too
- Matte Black vs Gloss Black Vinyl stripes? So I have a Ingot Silver 2014 Ford Mustang and was wondering what stripes would look the best on it. I heard that gloss shows every little imperfection (scratches) while with matte black, you can't wax them. I'm leaning more on matte black just because I know that seeing the little scratches on the gloss black over time will really irritate me.
