Replacing my Ford Escape 2002 factory hitch?

Details online seem to be a little scarce, so I'm wondering what my options are to replacing my factory hitch on my 02 Escape. It seems that the factory hitch actually acts as the rear bumper as well, if anyone can confirm this that would be great. Also, if that was true, is there any hitch that I could install that could essentially go over (or under) the factory hitch? If the only answer is to buy another factory bumper/hitch for a fix, then this may be more trouble then its worth.

There are no factory hitches on the 2002 Ford Escape. The year of manufacture, by the way. Always goes first. Please remember this. What you ask shows a high level of lack of information. What you ask is impossible. Typically, kids like you, do not know that all automotive issues are local issues, that to ask online as to subjects like this is a complete and total waste of time. Hitches are installed, replaced, removed, locally by mechanics or business that dedicate themselves to this business such as U-Haul. And all you had to do was to dial a number of such a place in your city. You can't install anything because you do not know what you are doing, do not have the tools nor experience to do this. One prime consideration is the structural integrity of the vehicle, as in rust or damage, in the area supporting the hitch. You have not looked but the number of accidents due to trailers separating from vehicles is significant. There are classes of hitches, maximum weight of the trailer, maximum weight of the part of the trailer that connects to the hitch and a few other factors. I suggest your brain should have directed you to a local business that deals with these devices. Now you know. One phone call. Have a blessed day.
