How long did ford make the F250 Light Duty?

Just curious if I have acquired a unusual truck. It's a 99 F250 light duty. Have had it for about 2 years but it's never really hit me. All I know is it shares parts with the F150 and it has 7 lugs. Which sucks haha

You had better go count your lug nuts again. And maybe after you discover you were wrong you could ask something a little more important.

It was made for only a couple of years in the late 90's; it's not unusual, just not common - it didn't sell well and was quickly dropped. The F250 LD was also called the 7700 series and it has heavier suspension but the same independent front suspension as the F150's and uses a 7 stud instead of a 5 stud. It uses the same 5.4L as the F150.

It has 7 lugs because the F250 is a 3/4 ton truck.
the F150 is a half ton truck. Some parts are interchangeable, but not all. The drivetrain and rear end on the 250 is heavier and thicker to handle heavier loads. Hence the 7 lug nuts, as apposed to
5 lug nuts on the F150…
