Why my 1987 f250 makes the oil pressure go zero n then turn it off?
Hello people I have a problem with my 1987 ford f250 months ago I made the maintenance of oil and filters the next day take it out 30 minutes after low oil pressure went to zero and turn off. Returning home I parked the truck and four hours later when the truck was cooled i turned on well except the pressure was low and only lasted another 20 minutes turned on and off since that day remains the same. Not heated truck someone can tell me what's going on I can do?
You fried your engine by running it with low oil pressure…
I don't think so it still work perfectly n runs perfectly except because the oil pressure still goes down
You might have a bad oil pressure sensor.
It sounds like the bearings are shot. Did you put the right oil in when you changed it? If it's been using thick oil and you put in thin oil that's been camouflaging the worn out engine. Did you buy ut recently?
Back Track. Because all this happened after a simple oil change, that should be a clue. Back track to the filter. Correct size? Correct number?
Did the "O" ring come off with the old filter? Sometimes they stick to the block. You could always remove the filter carefully and inspect for a doubled-up "O" ring. Filter might went into a "by-pass mode", I don't know.
HI, First thing would be to check the DIP stick and see if there's still oil in the motor. And it is to the full mark. If not then you need to find out what YOU did wrong. Motor may be shot if there's NO oil in it.
Most people that try and play mechanic (more like lube boy) end up not checking to see if the gasket from the old oil filter came off the filter and stuck to the housing the oil filter screws onto. Then when you drive for about 5 miles the oil blows out from between the 2 seals and you blow up the motor! You know doing your own oil changes only saves ya a couple of bucks! Now you may have created a $2500 ordeal for yourself!
Worn out Oil pump unable to build up any pressure.
Unfortunately your strange English and story are difficult to follow. So today I read everybody else's answer first. I have to strongly agree with most of the other answers.
You seem to have an oil pressure gauge. Did the oil pressure gauge ever read low BEFORE you changed your oil and filter(s) "months ago"?
I also read your other questions. When you turn, your oil pressure goes to zero? This means you are extremely low on oil volume. Have you bothered to check your oil level (dipstick)? Just because you recently filled the oil, doesn't mean it's still in the oil pan.
I have been changing oil in things since the mid 1960s, for myself and as a mechanic. Many times the oil filter gasket stuck on the engine, but I knew enough to see it there. With 2 gaskets, your engine can pump itself dry.
You also seem to say that your engine shut off when there was no oil pressure?
I'm just wondering, based on how you present your problem, if you have a loud exhaust noise that may be masking the rod knock noise? What do you think guys? He has the oil pressure symptoms of injured rod bearing(s).
I'm not exactly sure what's wrong from your description, but like I said, I agree with the others answers.
- Why did Christine Blasey Ford have zero problem being interrogated by lawyers but William Barr refuse to allow it? Is it because she has nothing to hide and was telling the truth but Barr is a liar? There's evidence that Brat the Rat Kavanaugh lied about boofing and Devil's triangle but no evidence that Blasey Ford lied. Barr lied about not knowing why Mueller's staff expressed frustration about Barr's account of the Mueller Report when in fact he had received a letter from Mueller expressing dissatisfaction about Barr's account of Mueller's report.
- 2001 Ford Ranger clicks once then won't turn over, and when key is turned off, it begins making a clicking relay noise under the dash? - 1 I've had this happen before, and the last couple times I just undid the battery and put it back in and it started right up. The battery has a charge, the alternator is new, and I tried jumping the battery just in case. So I know it's not that. I'm thinking it could be something in the ignition switch because sometimes I have to lift up on the shifter knob for it to register that it's in park and turn over. Any ideas?

- My Ford Transit headlights turn on in off position and turn off in the on position? I'm a new driver, just passed my test. My van has some issue with the lights: namely, the lights turn off in the on position when the dash lights come on, and turn on when they are supposed to be off. This means that I'm driving at night without dash lights as I need to have the lights switched off in order for my headlights to be on. Might this be an electrical issue? Would anybody be able to give me advice and possibly know how much this costs to repair?
