Bought a truck privately, but owner is acting weird?
I made a deal with a owner of a Ford F250, we agreed on a price. He said he might be able to meet today at the notary with him with the money and the truck. I talked to him, and he said that maybe Wed would work possibly, but he didn't respond after possibly. Now I called himx he didn't pick up and I texted him, so for nothing. This is sounding pretty shady. Anyone else have any details or similar stories with a possible out come?

If things turn out badly with this seller you will have little recourse - at least not without a lot of stress and hassle.
You did NOT buy a truck. You haven't bought it until the money and the title change hands.

I don't have any similar stories but maybe he's just busy. But you would think that if he wanted to get rid of the truck he would meet up as soon as possible.

I made the second payment and he refused to give me a receipt. He gave me the keys and the truck. But no title or receipt. Now he said I never paid him and he wants another $250.00. What can I do legally? He refuses to give me back my $500.00. Said he doesn't have to because he is now going to repossess it.
