Check engine light blinking?
I was driving my Ford contour and the check engine light just came on and started blinking mid trip before returning to solid. I'm worried I really messed up my car by continuing to drive. I drove another 15 minutes in the car and the engine light started blinking a few other times but returned to solid. How serious can my damage be? I'm already pretty sure its misfiring
Who said it was damaged? When the light blinks it means it's entering a trouble code. When it stays lit it tells you there's a code to be read. Get them pulled and write own the numbers. 0300 series codes are misfire related.
Did you check you gas cap?
It might just be a clogged plug or somthing.
You need someone to read the code and see the problem

A blinking CEL means there's a serious problem, and you can read your manual, usually that means pull over stop the car and have it towed.
Damage - it depends on the cause of the CEL, if was just a misfire, it probably did not do any damage.
