What kind of car should I trade for?
I have a 1993 Ford Bronco 351W c6 auto and auto 1356bw transfer case 153k miles
no rust
runs and drives great has few smaller mods
worth about $4k
but I get horrible gas mileage (8-11)
and I'm going to start a school that's a ways away and need to get a commuter car (don't want any Asian cars)
What do you think I could trade my truck for?
I'm open to older cars newer cars just want suggestions
Car dealers will not be interested in trading for such an old car. They would only offer you junk value for it and send it off to a dealer auction, or the junk yard. You would be best to try to sell it on your own, and use the money to help pay for the new car.
Not sure what you have against Asian cars, but one of the best choices you could make would be an older Honda Accord or Civic (both made in America, using many American parts, by American workers, paying American taxes).
I guess you mean, just trading your 93 with another private party for their car, right? If you mean trade in at car dealer, they won't even want it, or they won't pay you anything for it.
It would be a lot easier and you would have more choices if you just sold your 93 for the most you could get for it. Then use that to buy another car.
If you want good gas milage and that be your biggest focus, get a Honda or a Nissan.really. They are dependable! Then once you are out of school snd making good money I would go classic Ford Ranger.very cool. But not great on gas.
Realistic. Car dealer will give you $500 maybe $700 if your lucky and they will re sale it for about 3-5k.

What are the costs on all of these BRANDS?
- What kind of car should I buy? With a budget of about 2,500 for my first car, I'm deciding between a 2002 Mazda Protege with about 150,000 miles, a 2004 Suzuki Forenze with about 135,000 miles, a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix with about 140,000 miles, a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer with about 160,000 miles and a 2001 Ford Taurus with about 130,000 miles.
