Am i supposed to drain the hot water heater before pumping antifreeze through my rv?

I own a 1986 ford e350 jamboree motorhome/rv. I pumped the rv antifreeze through the plumbing system until it came out of the faucets and toilet. I didn't drain the hot water heater first. I was reading about this and it said to drain the hot water heater before pumping the antifreeze through the system. It looked like the antifreeze came out of the faucets when i opened them so i was wondering did i do this right or do i have to go do it again. The hot water heater is drained now but i didn't drain it until i was done. I was wondering if i should leave the water lines with pressure in them or do i open them up

The words "looks like anti freeze" doesn't tell anyone to what temp the system is protected to. You can buy a anti freeze tester for a few bucks at any auto parts store. Test the pure anti freeze first to make sure it will work on the type of anti freeze you use in campers then test what comes out the faucet. Then and only then will you know for sure. You need to drain the hot water tank because it holds so much it may not have the right concentration to keep it from freezing.

Your done if you've drained the hot water heater since.

  • Water instead of antifreeze? Ford, gt500? My radiator has cracked and it spits out all the antifreeze. Don't have money to buy radiator at this moment so an I fine just putting water in it for a while. When I was refilling with antifreeze it would be empty within two days. Is it ok to just keep refilling it with water?
  • Power steering went out after driving through water? I had to drive to work in a storm today. I drive a 2007 Ford Taurus 105, xxx miles, and I went around a corner and I completely lost steering in my car mid turn. This is the first time this has ever happened to my car. I slowed down drastically and then maybe 10 seconds later my power steering came back with a loud screech. Should I be worried about it going out again? I checked my steering fluid and it's topped off. Anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?
  • Heater isn't hot enough in my car, is there a way to make the heater better? I drive a 1998 Ford Taurus Wagon, the heater on it is alright but when it's 10 degrees outside it kinda sucks. Is there an actual way to make your heater hotter?
  • My heater core is hot to the touch that I remove my finger after 2-3secs normal? I reasently replaced my thermostat and hose going to my thermostat. My heater core is hot to touch and I'm wondering if it's normal on a 91 Ford ranger 3.0 v6 manual? There are no leaks on passenger side
